Another great Good News Camp – every year it seems to get better!

SHOUT! Junior Camp at Leeson House, Swanage was made up of young people from Warwickshire.

A good week @ ‘MegaMakers’ Holiday Club (Berrymead Evangelical Church Acton, London).
Although numbers are down compared to last year it is a privilege to be able to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in this tough multi-cultural area with the twenty-five children who came along.

At Mega Makers! children enter the inventor’s workshop and make some mega discoveries about God, hear about how God’s love is far wider and longer and higher and deeper than we can ever imagine and find out what it means to be a follower of Jesus

We had a great week at the LIFE EXPO at Lockerley Water Farm Campsite. Lockerley. Nr. Romsey. Hants.
Due to their size and location village schools often miss out on projects like the LIFE EXPO, but not this time!

Over 400 children from the surrounding villages were transported in to see this multi-media exhibition. The week was organised and financed by The Hampshire Christian Trust and it was run as an inter-Church project, with Christians from Churches in local area helping out as guides and staffing the event.

As expected the children and teachers who attended the Expo were thrilled with their visit.

As well as the 70min interactive lesson on Jesus, all the school children were given a ‘LIFE’ edition of John’s gospel.

Just to bring you up to date with the planned visit of ‘GSUS Live’ to Hampshire in Sept/Oct 2014.

‘GSUS Live’ is a resource that is available to secondary schools.
The aim of ‘GSUS Live’ is to enhance students’ understanding of some of the key teachings of Jesus.
A mobile classroom with a multimedia computer suite is the heart of the project.
It is designed to take classes of up to 32 Key Stage 3 students for a 45 minute session and provides a stimulating environment in which they can investigate Jesus’ teaching on Forgiveness, Fear and Rejection.

‘GSUS Live’ will be visiting eight schools and will reach thousands of secondary school pupils with something of the relevance and message of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for the planned site visit to each school on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 this is to make sure the trailer will be accessible and safe.

Please pray for (or attend) the Training Evening which will be on Monday 1st September (7pm to 9pm). This open to anyone who is planning to be involved setting up/dismantle the trailer (7pm to 8.00’ish) and those planning to present (8.00’sh to 9.00pm).

Excellent week at ‘Mega Makers’ 5 day Holiday Club. The Community Church, Wellington Road, Hounslow.
The week finished with a Prize-Giving and BBQ – the sun shone, and we managed to squeeze so many people into the building!

A privilege to share the gospel with 50 children from a variety of cultural backgrounds (Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Polish and African to name a few) and from a variety of religious faiths.

six Bible teaching sessions with Westcliff Free Church (Southend-on-Sea, Essex) on their Church Weekend at Pilgrim Hall, East Sussex.

Great to have Penny and the kids with me! Yes, I braved the outdoor swimming pool!

So encouraging to chat with folks and know that the Bible teaching was a real help to them!
