Christian festivals continue to provide great opportunities to share a little of what Christians believe.

This week I will be taking assemnlies in a number of junior/Primary schools on the theme of Pentecost.

Always good to recieve encouaging news, from a recent news/prayer letter…

The thought of going to a new place, staying with new people, and doing God’s work gave me butterflies in my tum. Mixed emotions, some excitement and some nerves of one who did not know what to expect. We arrived at Duncan Road Church in Park Gate on a Saturday evening, welcomed by one of the Church leaders and his wife (The Curleys), we were instantly made to feel at home and I learnt how God can use anyone to accomplish his work. It also takes a willing, prayerful and committed people to be able to sustain God’s work for God’s people. Duncan Road Church was an encouragement on so many levels, Gordon and Penny the leading couple of most of these activities just seem to be running on something other than coffee. They are passionate, loving and with huge servant hearts. God showed me how sometimes the excuses we may have at times are nothing but just. Colin, a blind man, and Derrick a really mature man whose wife was in a hospital yet regardless of circumstances around them or what they might seem not have, they remained faithful, and in God’s presence. That gave me a new gear to serve the Lord, to praise him even in the storms of life.”

Another great weekend travelling around Dorset, and good to listen to Martin Erwin who taught the Bible in the daily session, he came with a message from God and now it’s up to us to apply it!

Please pray for Maertin Erwin who will be speaking at Bible teaching sessions each day.

You may have heard the quote: “A camel is a horse designed by a committee!” Though sometimes we dread committee meetings they are necessery to the work we do and this week has seen a few more evenings taken up with various planning groups. Under discussion this week, an evening discussing Data Protection and the new laws coming in at the end of the month, to another evening spent planning out next weeks young peoples houseparty

Thanks to those who support the work by volunteering to be involved and also for giving up an evening of lesuire time – we appreciate your input and support.

Three weks and three funerals, all of different ‘flavours’ but it was good today to lead the service for Lily Fielder. A friend, a sister in Chrit and a supporter of the work!

Holiday Club 2018 at Duncan Road Church. Southampon ran from Tuesday 3rd April to Friday 6th April 2018.
The fun theme was the ‘The Big Top.’ Each day we focused on some of the awesome stories of the Bible: Strong man Samson, escape artist Jonah, fire eater Elijah, lion-tamer Daniel and the Ringmaster Moses.
The club was a fast-paced mixture of songs, quizzes, Bible stories, craft and competitions.
