Great night! Great crowd! Great food! & a great message from Bob Telford!

34 men enjoying the now famous annual Men’s “The Net” BBQ in the woods! Complete with wildlife kebabs and great message from Bob Telford, “Why Jesus.”
Please ‘pray in’ the challenging and poignant message that was spoken.
The Net is an outreach to men run by Counties Hampshire.

On Monday next week Josh will be off to Zambia! Please keep him in your prayers, that he will have a safe journey and settle in easily at the GLO Alive centre.

Abi will be off to the mountains in Peru next week – please pray that she will get there safely and that her time there will be an amazing experience where she is drawn closer to God.

Hazel is still helping out at the Nyangombe training centre in Zambia but hasn’t been too well this week. Please pray she will make a speedy recovery and that God will give her the strength she needs for these next few weeks!

FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.

Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.

Hard to say in a few words how a weekend away like this impacts so many lives, memories created that will last a lifetime and people encountering the Living God in a new and fresh and for some a first-time way!

and we’re off!
collect mini-buses (or buzzes if you were raised in the best part of the UK)
load mini-bus full of ‘stuff’
head off to Bournemouth
set up Chapel were we are all kipping for the weekend
welcome campers and leaders as they arrive
brief everyone
hike up Hengistbury Head (dark, cold & windy – but somehow enjoyable!)
back to Chapel for hot dogs and drinks
bed and very little sleep!
Please pray for us and that the weekend fellowship and teaching will make a real difference in the lives of campers and leaders!

Good to be back on the Isle Of Wight, ben a while since I last came over and preached in the Prison as well as in a few of the Churches.
Today I am speaking at a Men’s breakfast organised by Churches Together in West Wight Men’s Group.
We are meeting in a very nice hotel in Freshwater overlooking the sea – I do enjoy a full English breakfast.

Great to join with Paulsgrove Baptist Church, Portsmouth for a Skittles Evening at the ‘Kings Head’ in Wickham and to speak at their men’s group ‘Monmentum’.

It was really good to receive an email from one of the leaders on behalf of a non-Christian man who attended, He had a really helpful conversation with him and the man requested some of the literature I had taken with me and offered at the end of my talk. He should get it in the post this weekend – please pray it will be helpful to him on nhis journey of faith.
