The Net BBQ in the woods
The final ‘NET’ event in this series of men’s outreach events and it did not disappoint! A good mixture of ages, some very good food and a beautiful spring evening were the ‘aperitifs’, the ‘main course’ was guest speaker Shaun Sweeney who as darkness descended shared the good news of the gospel.
Great see Christian men inviting their non-Christian family members and friends along.
The Parable of the Growing Seed (Mark 4:26-29).
Jesus said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”
Smiling Faces in Marchwood School!
Thanks to Penny & Charlie the monkey, for their help in todays assembly, wish you could see the smiles on the faces of the children as they learnt the importance of forgiveness & friendship.
“And how can they hear if nobody tells them?”
(The Bible: Romans chapter 10 verse 14)
The contribution that evangelists and local churches can make to school assemblies and acts of collective worship is highly valued by many schools. A Christian visitor can often bring a great depth of wisdom, creativity and experience that adds to the pupils’ experience of the Christian faith!
If you have never done an assembly or want some ideas on what to do if the opportunity comes along, or if you would like to tag along sometime to see what happens, then contact me.
