‘FirstServe’ Update
FirstServer Anna Wilson has now returned home from Zambia, after having an incredible time overseas she is now venturing home to California. Pray that God will continue to do incredible things in her life and that the 3 months in Zambia will have a lasting impact!
Please continue to pray for Abi, Hazel and Josh. Abi has been helping out on a short-term mission team in San Pablo over the Easter period and Hazel will be travelling to Livingstone at the end of this week to see the amazing Victoria Falls! Josh has a few days left on his UK church placement, so prayers would be appreciated for his remaining time there.
FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.

‘Polar Explorers’ Holiday Club
Just received a phone call from a very enthusiastic mum saying; “Thank you for this morning’s Holiday Club, the children absolutely loved it and haven’t stopped talking about it since they got home!”
Each day this week children from school year R to year 5 will be enjoying two hours of fun and excitement. A mixture of quizzes, crafts, DVD’s, Bible stories, activities, games, competitions and a lot more!
Don’t be surprised if you see a penguin, a polar bear or even a husky in the Park Gate area this Easter Holidays! ‘Polar Explorers’ is the fun theme and name of the Holiday Club we are running all week (6th-10th April) at Duncan Road Church, Park Gate.
With the help of Sir Random Finds and Bare Feet, the children are explorers who go on a mini-expedition each day and learn about a New Testament character. Through the lives of these people, they learn that no one is too anything to be part of God’s big expedition, that is, to be a friend of Jesus and go out and help other people be friends of Jesus too.
Quotes from Facebook:
“My son loved it too looking forward to tomorrow’s adventure”
“My 2 loved it as always..”

Great prayer & planning meeting last night as we finalise details for the ‘BodyBuilders’ inter-Church Houseparty.
We still have a few places left and would value your prayers that these will be filled!
Please pray too for the team of young leaders as they prepare to lead discussion groups for the first time!

…Abi has now started work at the orphanage in Peru, please pray for her as she begins this new ministry, and that the time spent with the children will be both a blessing and encouragement.
…Hazel will be leading a Bible study this weekend in Chitokoloki, please pray for her preparations for this and that she will be given strength to deal with the busy lifestyle at the hospital.
…Josh is still getting on well at Regent, pray for him in all the activities he is responsible for and that this period would be a time of growth and deepening in his relationship with God.
