Living the Passion conference.
And there off! Penny Curley (attendee & seminar) & Kathy Curley (looking after the crèche) heading off to the Living the Passion conference.
A weekend of Bible teaching, seminars, fellowship, worship, children’s programme, refreshments, etc.
Guest speaker John McGinley.
John writes: “I am convinced that the renewing and reforming work that God is doing with His church today is actually a refounding on Jesus. In this conference we will journey through John’s Gospel, engaging with passages that help us to explore how God does this in our personal lives and with His church.”
Venue: Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club, Daventry NN11 6JT
The Countdown is on!
In just over 24 hours and we will be flying out (Friday @ 19:10) to Moldova. We will be Gospel Preaching as we work alongside The Moldovan Mission and local Church Pastors.
THE DATES:
Oct 25th to Nov 4th:
THE TEAM:
The team is made up of Myself & my assistant Leo Guzman Aldana. Evangelists Andy Goode & Dave Orange and we will meet up with Mark McCormick (Moldovan Mission).
The nine day mission is organised by Mark McCormick of The Moldovan Mission.
THE DESTINATION:
We will fly from Luton (Friday 24th October) and arrive into Chisinau International Airport on Saturday morning and travel to our base in Cahul, a city in southern Moldova.
Cahul is 112 miles, about two & half hours car travelling from the airport.
We are due to fly back on Monday the 3rd November arriving back in the UK in the early hours o0f the morning.
THE PROGRAMME:
Our programme for the day is often given to us each morning, we only know that on Sunday we will be preaching in at least one Church (maybe more) and we do house meetings, the three teams will visit 3 villages per day and we will hold 2 to 6 house meetings per day where we will be able to share/preach the gospel. This can and often does change with little notice and it is not unusual to also speak at youth events, hospitals and in the past I have even spoken at a funeral wake.
THE MISSION:
The mission is a planned FRANK mission (FRANK is an acronym for the believers unsaved Friends Relatives Associates Neighbours and Kids).
The believers pray every day for 12 individual FRANKs for 12 weeks asking God to draw them to Christ and also to open a door for them to make friends with their FRANKs and they will have invited them to attend the outreach meetings in their homes.
THE PRAYER REQUEST:
·Good Health.
·Safety (bad roads & mad drivers).
·Energy (2-6 meetings per day).
·Guidance & flexibility over what to preach on.
·Finance – the mission trip is self financed.

Today @ Speakers Corner
I came for the sinners and ended up with the saints!
First three conversations today were all with Christians who had a load of questions and wanted some guiding advice.
Two highlights were,
#1: Sebastian (his new Christian name) a recent convert to Christ from a Moslem background, he travelled all the way down from Sheffield to experience Speakers Corner and bump into me! So good to help him in the basics and encourage him to find a Church. He came to faith through reading his Bible. Please pray that he will soon find a local Church fellowship.
#2: Vader from the Ukraine, once again someone who has recently come to faith and not part of a Church family, so many things I would like to tell you but privacy is important, a useful conversation on how to grow as a Christian and what for us is probably very basic advice but great to see Vader typing references into his phone to look at later on.

“The two words ‘information’ and ‘communication’ are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through.” – Sydney J. Harris

Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.
‘The Net’ Blues Night
“The blues tells a story. Every line of the blues has a meaning.” – John Lee Hooker.
Well, plenty of songs with a meaningful story tonight! Thanks to Bob Pearce and Steve for singing a mixture of blues & gospel songs, and thanks to Josh Williamson for sharing good news from the Bible.
