Somewhere hot & sunny back on August 5th

Plenty of people. plenty of conversations and plenty of things to pray about!

Great to meet Japheth from Mexico and talk through a possible project he is hoping to do at the the Corner. Best conversation of the day was with George (Eastern Orthodox) & Saeed (Moslem), a chance to discuss a whole range of things relating to the Christian faith.
Please pray also for the Moslem man who took a copy of John’s gospel, in previous weeks he refused to take a copy but today he accepted it!

Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.

Thank you so much for your prayers regarding Camp, so much has happened this week.

Praise God for:

*Campers Quiet Time Booklets – written & printed.
*Leaders Camp Handbook – updated and emailed out.
*Parents will have had their child’s final information regarding GNC.

Prayer for:

*Unity & balance in the team – we have a variety of helpers with different backgrounds and experience– please pray that we will all complement each other in our various roles.
* For Gordon as he prepares talks from Luke’s gospel for this year’s Camp.
*For a good time spiritually – that the week will be marked with conversions and spiritual growth.
*Health & safety – accidents do happen – pray with us that any accident/health issue will be insignificant and handled well!

We have are able to run camp with the team that we have, but it would be helpful to have (must be DBS checked on time):

*We still need 1 Sports assistant.
*We could do with 1 more duties helper.
*We could do with 1 more person in the crèche.
