Today @ Speakers Corner
Plenty of people, plenty of arguments and plenty of good conversations today at Speakers Corner. Hyde Park. London.
American YouTuber ‘GodLogic’ was in the park, and he always draws a crowd and gets the crowd exited, he must have jaw ache tonight because he was going non-stop from the moment I arrived until I left. Many of his conversations were recorded and you watch them on YouTube (search ‘GodLogic’ speakers’ corner).
My best conversation of the day was with Joy (her English name), a lovely lady visiting from China, Joy is an atheist but wanted to know about the different faiths that people have in the park. Several long conversations later and Joy said she would read one of the gospels and also look up the story of Gladys Aylward* on YouTube.
Joy returns to China this week; please pray she will indeed check out Gladys and most of all Jesus.
*Gladys Aylward (1902–1970)
English missionary in China and Taiwan who worked to end the traditional Chinese practice of binding women’s feet, led a large group of orphans out of occupied China, and set up orphanages in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.
