‘LIFE EXPO’
‘LIFE EXPO’
visited Swanfield Chapel, Chichester in October. ‘LIFE’ is a ‘hands-on, interactive experience’. using PDA technology with text, graphics, DVD and sound. The exhibition tells of the life of Jesus, it picks up on his Jewish roots, his teaching and miracles, and his death, burial and resurrection.
Over 500 hundred primary school children visited the ‘expo’ during its five day visit and spent an hour and ten minutes focussing on Jesus Christ!
Many of the schools who attended will be followed up with assemblies.

‘The 2:42 Experience’
‘The 2:42 Experience’ is our self-catering, all-age family Camp and this year we enjoyed having James Benrose as our guest speaker. Once again it is great to know that some adults who attended met with God in a fresh way and left more determined to follow him.
‘Good News’ Camp.
‘Good News’ Camp.It was great to be a part of enthusiastic team of whose hard work and commitment helped camp run so well! Despite the very wet weather there was a very positive spirit among the Campers and attention during the sessions, on Camp was excellent. It is good to report that a number of Campers made commitments or re-commitments to Jesus Christ and others have testified as to how Camp has helped them!
‘Boomerang’ Holiday Club.
‘Boomerang’ Holiday Club. “Sorry, we are full up!” How sad to have to turn away children from this years ‘Boomerang’ Holiday Club & from hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. This is the fifth year that this inter-Church event, involving six Churches from the Fareham Western Wards, has been running during the first week of the school summer holidays. It is so encouraging to see numerical growth year by year with over 550 children attending this year! Gordon & Richard Cole (Decade Ministries) led the programme for school years 3 & 4 (7 to 9 yr olds). Over a 100 enthusiastic children attended their venue daily and during the week a number of children came to ‘Quiet Row’ with questions regarding spiritual things.
It was amazing to see God answer so many prayers and provide a great team of volunteer helpers, over 130 people in total.
The week concluded with a Family Fun Night and 1100 people attended, not all could squeeze into the marquee for the finally praise party, but they probably all heard the children singing their favourite songs of the week!
As a member of the planning committee it will not be long before Gordon meets together with the other leaders to discuss this years events and to try and figure out how we can make ‘Boomerang’ not just bigger but better next year.

‘Rocky’s Plaice’ Holiday Club, Hounslow, UK 2010:
‘Rocky’s Plaice’ Holiday Club, Hounslow, UK 2010:
This Holiday Club held in Hounslow at Wellington Road Community Church always proves to be an enjoyable challenge. Each day about fifty children from a variety of different ethnic (Somali, Congolese, Indian, Nigerian, Pakistani, Polish, and a few more to add to the mix!) and religious backgrounds enthusiastically came along to join in all the fun and also, of course, to hear the ‘Good News’ of Jesus Christ.
With many of their parents staying to help, this was an immense opportunity to share the Christian message with those from a different religious background.
