School Assemblies
It is always a pleasure to be invited in to take a Christian based assembly for Park Gate Primary School. Southampton. UK.

Over 400 pupils and teachers listened intently as I had the opportunity to talk about the situation in the Philippines and to share a little of the gospel message through the story of the early church, people like Barnabas who sold his field and gave the proceeds to apostles to distribute among the poor (Acts chapter 4 verse 36-37).
Craft Night
Approximately thirty five ladies enjoyed a Christmas Craft Night at Duncan Road Church, run by Penny, on Monday Night (18/11/13).
A range of crafts allowed the ladies to try their hand at wood burning, glass engraving, and candle decorating, while for the less adventurous a selection of simpler ideas were available so that everyone was happily occupied.

Lots of cups of tea, cake, mince pies and chocolate helped provide a comfortable atmosphere in which people could relax and chat. A bookstall selling a range of gifts, books, calendars, Christmas DVD’s etc. was well used, and a table of handmade Jewellery was provided by one of our Friday club Mums.!
It was also really encouraging to see many of the ladies help themselves to the free Christian literature that was also available.
A Night of Comedy
A great night of comedy last night as the new season of ‘The Net’ events (outreach to men) started in the function room of the Queens Head Pub in Titchfield. This small intimate venue is perfect as we chuckled away to the stories and anecdotes of comedian Paul Kensensa.

The show was in two parts. Part one was a regular comedy routine. Part two was Paul talking about his life and faith and sharing something of the good news of Jesus!
Please pray for the literature taken and for the good conversations had on the way home.
Noah’s Ark!
Noah’s Ark Toddlers and Babies group:
Penny reports that there were 85 at Noah’s Ark!!!!!!!!
Alan one of the helpers says: “it was like an underground tube station at rush hour, legs, arms and bodies everywhere!”

Please pray that many of these mums will come to Penny’s Ladies Christmas Craft Night at Duncan Road Church on November 18th!
M.A.S.H.

Harvest Opportunities!
Great day on Sunday at the Harvest All-Age Service @ Duncan Road Church Southampton, followed by a very enjoyable Church meal!
Harvest time provides many opportunities in Churches and schools to share the message of Jesus with many who do not normally attend a place of worship.
