Abernethy Houseparty in Scotland
Abernethy is a group of 4 outdoor adventure centres in Scotland.
Gordon has been invited to celebtrate Hogmanay and speak on the legendary Nethybridge New Year Houseparty!
This winter break is as action-packed or laid back weekend; a chance to join in with the activities, or just relax by our open fires.
Here are just some of the things on offer:
Multi-activity programme
Hogmanay ceilidh
Evening Christian programme
Gala buffet dinner
Winter activities
Use of sports & leisure facilities, including swimming pool
Do pray that I will have the right message for these occassions and for wisdom in chatting with folks one-to-one!
Sam Downs
Sam’s final stint on his 6 week placement was speaking at ‘BodyBuilders’ Youth Event. He will retruned home to Manchester after Sunday’s All-Age Service at Duncan Road Church.
Sam has now completed stage 2 of his FirstServe programme based at Duncan Road Church, working with Gordon & Penny Curley.
Stage 3 will resume in January where Sam will depart to GLO Alive, Zambia and will remain there for three months.
FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.
Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.

LIFE Expo update!
Just under 600 children through the LIFE Expo this week – exhausting but fun!
Great to finish off with 5 classes (150 kids) from Sarisbury Green Junior School.
Just this evening to go and it’s bye, bye LIFE Expo until it returns in the summer.

LIFE Expo Day 2
Full on day today at the LIFE Expo – 5 classes of up to 30 children kept the team busy – encouraging comments from the teachers in the Visitors Book.
(apologies for blurred faces – school requirement – but at least the photos give you a flavour of what we are up to).
It is hosted by St. John’s Church, Locks Heath, Southampton, Hants. It is an inter-Church project run by the Western Wards Church Network
‘The Net’ – Andy Robinson
A good evening at ‘The Net’ an event for men! Although I only managed to attend the last part due to running the LIFE Expo, it was good to see a full room (thirty men) and hear the ‘buzz’ of conversation.
Thanks Andy Robinson for sharing your dramatic story!
