Abernethy Houseparty in Scotland

Abernethy is a group of 4 outdoor adventure centres in Scotland.
Gordon has been invited to celebtrate Hogmanay and speak on the legendary Nethybridge New Year Houseparty!

This winter break is as action-packed or laid back weekend; a chance to join in with the activities, or just relax by our open fires.
Here are just some of the things on offer:

Multi-activity programme

Winter activities

The Net

A great night at the Decembers activity of ‘The Net’ (outreach evening to men).
28 men squeezed into the home of Mike & Alison Peach to enjoy fish & chips, good company and hear a informative and challenging talk by Peter Brind!

Sam Downs

Sam’s final stint on his 6 week placement was speaking at ‘BodyBuilders’ Youth Event. He will retruned home to Manchester after Sunday’s All-Age Service at Duncan Road Church.
Sam has now completed stage 2 of his FirstServe programme based at Duncan Road Church, working with Gordon & Penny Curley.
Stage 3 will resume in January where Sam will depart to GLO Alive, Zambia and will remain there for three months.

FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.

Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.

LIFE Expo update!

Just under 600 children through the LIFE Expo this week – exhausting but fun!
Great to finish off with 5 classes (150 kids) from Sarisbury Green Junior School.
Just this evening to go and it’s bye, bye LIFE Expo until it returns in the summer.

Full on day today at the LIFE Expo – 5 classes of up to 30 children kept the team busy – encouraging comments from the teachers in the Visitors Book.
(apologies for blurred faces – school requirement – but at least the photos give you a flavour of what we are up to).

‘The Net’ – Andy Robinson

A good evening at ‘The Net’ an event for men! Although I only managed to attend the last part due to running the LIFE Expo, it was good to see a full room (thirty men) and hear the ‘buzz’ of conversation.
