On Saturday look out for us on row D94 – working with New Farm Chapel, Alresford as we witness to the thousands of people who will be at the show – tea/coffee tent plus Penny face painting & my mega secondhand books & Bibles stall.

The Alresford Show is a traditional one day agricultural show promoting the best of local farming and agriculture.  Dating back to 1908, the Show is held annually on the first Saturday in September at Tichborne Park, Alresford.
As well as traditional livestock championships and horse competitions the Show also hosts a companion dog and horticultural show.

The Show is packed full of exhibits from modern and vintage agricultural machinery to cows, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens and bees, whilst over 150 trade stands sell everything from locally produced food to tractors!  Truly a Show with something for everyone.

FirstServe Update

Answered prayer! RE: August 23rd, 2017 request – Jen has had conformation that the Indian Embassy have all the information they need to process her application – please pray that they return her passport along with a successful visa before she leaves the US on 9 September.

FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.

Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.

Camp for this year finished today! But here are a few memories (300) to give you a glimpse in to all that goes on in the 6 days of Camp!

Apart from the weather a great start to Camp – keep on praying!

This week I will be absorbed in preparation for Good News Camp. My priority are the 6 main morning sessions and talks, complimented by the 6 evening epilogues and also the 6 morning Thought For The Day’ for the This year all our teaching will be based on Luke’s Gospel.

We praise for God for:
We have over 50 Campers booked in and have space for a few more.
We have a full tea of helpers.
A great Camp site – each year Lockerley Water Farm gets better & better!
News continues to be received concerning how God impacted lives on previous Camps & Houseparties, with news of one young lady being baptised after this years camp.

We ask prayer for:
Health & safety – accidents do happen – pray with us that any accident/health issue will be insignificant!
Unity & balancing the team – we have a variety of helpers – pray that we will all complement each other in our various roles.
For Gordon as he prepares talks from Luke’s gospel for this year’s Camp.
For a good time spiritually – that the week will be marked with conversions and spiritual growth.

Off somewhere hot & Sunny – back in 2 weeks!
