People behaving…glad to say, very nice to each other!
After the madness of last week Speakers Corner returned back to ‘normal.’ The sun shone, people chatted and debated, some preached and a steady flow of concert goers walked through the corner to get to the Hyde Park concert area ready to listen to the South Korean group Ateez.
My highlight of the day was a conversation with a Moslem man called Ahmed, he looked very nervous and asked me, “What I was doing in the park?” A clumsy way to find out if I was there to listen to others or willing to chat. My reply, “I am a Christian, here to talk, do you have any questions about the Christianity?” And off he went, “Why so many different Bibles, Your Bible has been corrupted? Why do Protestant and Catholic Bibles differ? The Trinity doesn’t make sense…and a few other standard questions that come up most weeks at the Corner. I think he was surprised that I had informed answers to all his questions.
Please pray that something he heard will stay with him.
