Today @ Speakers Corner
Julian Brown was at the Corner today, what do you mean, “Who he?”
He is an inventor and social media influencer who rose to prominence for creating a device that he claims converts plastic waste into usable fuels. His presence caused a bit of a buzz but as far as I know there was no spiritual conversation happening.
I had three long conversations today and none of them with a Moslem!
#1:The day started with a long dialogue with an atheist called Felix, hard to tell how productive it was.
#2:When I saw my Christian friend Gabriel (Somalian believer) chatting the man on the podium from the Catholic Evidence Guild it was too much of a temptation not to join in, ironically the CEG man lacked any evidence for his beliefs and only had blind faith in what his Popes had decreed as doctrine.
#3:The third conversation was with a Christian lady, whose sincerity did not make up for her naivety. How you can live in London and say you do not go to Church because you cannot find one which is Biblically sound is beyond me. There are roughly 120 churches located in Westminster alone, so it must be great to be the only one who is theologically right. To her credit we chatted through her objections and some of her strongly held theological views that I would differ with her on and at the end of our conversation, she asked me to recommend a Church to her, so I will be googling a few this week – please pray for Susan.

Gordon has been a regular at Speakers Corner since 2021.
Note: He has no hatred towards Moslems, the issue is with the ideology of Islam! As a Christian he seeks to love all Muslims, while honestly engaging with the true nature of Isla
