{"id":937,"date":"2011-06-28T12:12:55","date_gmt":"2011-06-28T11:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/?p=937"},"modified":"2011-06-28T12:23:24","modified_gmt":"2011-06-28T11:23:24","slug":"encouraging-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/2011\/06\/encouraging-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Encouraging News!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday a man said to Penny and myself; <em>\u201cYou are the ones responsible for converting my son!\u201d <\/em>It was great to hear that the man\u2019s son had come to faith in Christ on our <strong>&#8216;Good News\u2019 Camp<\/strong> a number of years ago. The son is now at university and a keen Christian who is active serving God in the C.U. and local Church.<\/p>\n<p>How encouraging to know that God is at work in us and through us and as we faithfully sow the <em>\u2018good seed\u2019<\/em> of the gospel and along with our supporters <em>\u2018water it\u2019 <\/em>with prayer. As the apostle Paul wrote (2 Corinthians chapter 3 verses 6-9) we can then wait for God himself to germinate the seed and bring forth life!<\/p>\n<href=\"https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/plant-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/plant-2-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"plant (2)\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-942\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/plant-2-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.gcurley.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/plant-2-1024x680.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c\u2026I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It\u2019s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What\u2019s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God\u2019s workers.
